#097: Landscape Photography: Mid-Summer Wild Camp on the Nantlle Ridge, Snowdonia

Jun 25, 2019

It seems like ages since I was last in the Snowdonia mountains for some landscape photography. But on this trip out I was able to find time to head up the Nantlle Ridge and the summit of Graig Cwm Silyn for a one night wild camp. I was aiming to photograph sunset and sunrise, and camp near the summit cairn with a tarp and bivvy set up.

It was mid-summers day and the weather was warm and sunny. Not ideal for landscape photography, but perfect for hiking and camping. So I’d take whatever conditions I got and have a very enjoyable time however the photography turned out!

I’m often asked about the equipment I use.

Having typed-up countless replies I've now set it all out definitively here ...
