Best at / for: spring / autumn sunset.

Best avoided: between Easter and August bank holidays.

Parking: plentiful free and paid parking.

Access: easy walking by the sea; moderate hills in the town and castle.

Notes: easy access to photo locations, but beaches do have steps for access

Details:

Criccieth is situated on the south side of the Llyn Peninsula in north west Wales,

The facilities are excellent, with plenty of free and paid parking, places to eat, toilets and hotels if required.

It is an deal destination for families.

It has a native Welsh castle, set on a mound and there are two beaches, one either side of the castle, and a long, curving promenade.

It is a very peaceful and scenic place to stroll around, full of photographic opportunities.
