Rhosneigr, Anglesey

SUMMARY:

Best at / for: sunset.

Best avoided: public holidays and weekends.

Parking: free parking with close access to the location.

Access: minimal walking required if mobility is a problem.

Notes: a popular town location.

Details:

Rhosneigr is a west-facing beach location, perfect for year-round sunsets.

Parking right alongside is easy and free in the village. And even in high summer the late sunsets mean that the beach will be relatively quiet.

It’s not a good location for landscapes at any other time of day, but if you also like sports / action photography, it’s a magnet for wind and kite surfers. I’ve seen some amazing images of that sort of thing from here.
